Clinical Trials
Cyclacel is currently evaluating three oncology drug candidates in clinical trials: sapacitabine (CYC682), seliciclib (CYC202) and CYC116.
Sapacitabine (CYC682): sapacitabine is an orally available nucleoside analog currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial in patients with advanced cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and in elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
Seliciclib (CYC202): seliciclib is an orally available, targeted Cyclin Dependent Kinase (CDK) inhibitor currently being evaluated in the APPRAISE trial, a Phase 2b randomized double-blinded study as a third line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The trial is using a randomized discontinuation design. Seliciclib is also being evaluated in a Phase 2 study as a single agent in nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC).
CYC116 is an is an orally-active inhibitor of Aurora kinases A & B and VEGFR2. The program is currently in a Phase I study in patients with advanced solid tumors.
