Cyclacel Appoints Dr Robert Jackson to Scientific Advisory Board

DUNDEE - 18 January 2000 - Cyclacel Limited, the UK-based cancer therapeutics company, today announced the appointment of Dr Robert Jackson to its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). Dr Jackson is currently Director, Research and Development at Celltech Chiroscience plc. Prior to his present appointment, Dr Jackson was Executive Director, Research and Development and Chief Operating Officer at Chiroscience Group plc, Vice President, Research and Development at Agouron Pharmaceuticals Inc., and headed cancer research at Du Pont Pharmaceuticals and Warner-Lambert Company.

Professor Sir David Lane, Cyclacel's Chief Scientific Officer and Chairman of the SAB said: "Dr Jackson brings to our SAB world-class research and development experience in cancer drugs from his long career with several highly-regarded companies. His knowledge will be very valuable as several Cyclacel programmes are now progressing into development and eventually clinical trials. Dr Jackson's background complements those of existing SAB members who join me in welcoming his contribution."
